Vaux's Swift (Chaetura vauxi) video
An estimated 14,540 Vaux's Swift prepare to roost for the night in one of the few remaining brick chimneys in Los Angeles. Located at 5th and Broadway, these birds decided to make their migration stop in the heart of downtown LA.

Wow! Where are they going? Inside the chimney?? It looks like there're many of them for just a tiny chimney...

I believe the chimney extends down two stories. Certainly did become a tight fit. Eventually the chimney filled and the swifts began to attempt to cling to the outside of the chimney. None of them seemed happy to be outside though and would continuously try to enter the chimney.
