Tawny Frogmouth (Podargus strigoides) video
A family of 4 Tawny Frogmouths roosting in our garden. The smaller female - tinged chestnut remained in relaxed posture, but one of the males,the centre bird, fluffed out its feathers and bobbed its head, but remained silent

I was on our veranda late in the afternoon trying to locate two calling birds, a Common Koel which can be heard about 30 seconds in the video and a Fan-Tailed Cuckoo when I noticed the family roosting towards the end of the plot. They were about 1 metre above the ground and stayed there until dusk. I have heard them calling in the darkness for the last three nights.
