The problem is that the Helmeted Manakin is not known to occur in Serra da Ibiapaba or nearby, but the appearance of these birds strongly suggests a hybrid of Chiroxiphia and Antilophia. These birds were in a group of 4+ individuals, not containing any pure Blue-backed Manakin. The two hybrid adults, both visible in this video, were easy to tell apart, as one has a redish cast on the yellow back, while the other one was purer yellow. The case is currently under study.
