Black-tailed Godwit (Limosa limosa) video
A bathing bird exhibiting "Rhynchokinesis" - a system of levers in the upper mandible enabling all sandpipers and snipes-and some plovers-to manipulate small items in the bill tip and grasp items at depth in the mud without opening the rest of the bill and filling it with mud.
