Yaiza was born in Madrid in 1983. As she has always lived in a village in the countryside, she has had close contact with nature since she was young. She began being especially interested in birds and mammals when studying Environmental Sciences at the University. After that, she earned a Masters Degree in Protected Areas Management.She has collaborated with several conservation and research projects in Spain, having the chance to do fieldwork with species such as Spanish Lynx and Osprey.
She has enjoyed nature in different African, American and European countries.
