Umar Saif is from the city of Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, Province, India. He was born on 4th March 1973. Ornithology, which started as a mere hobby for him 20 years ago, has now grown into his passion. He has shot videos of the most common and the rarest of Indian bird species.
Umar has more than 700 species in his video clip collection of Indian Wild Flora & Fauna.
In 1995 he graduated in Life Science from C.C.S. University, Meerut, and in 1997 he completed his P.G. diploma in Ecology & Environment at IIEE, Delhi. He is founder of the Theocratic Geographic Society, which is working in several awareness, conservation and research programmes to preserve nature.
Since 1997 he has been working as a Science Reporter (Freelance) for the India Government’s National TV Channel DD-National, ETV, Star News, India TV, Shara TV Gyan Darshan, Pragya Channel & Mahua Channel.
