Steven Edwards
Merseyside, UK
Steve graduated from the University of Liverpool with a B.Sc. in Botany and an M.Sc. in Behavioural and Evolutionary Ecology. He and his wife, Jackie, have had a lifelong interest in all aspects of natural history, especially birds, and have travelled extensively. Steve was the Head of Biology at a large comprehensive school on Merseyside, England, for many years but has now moved to a part-time position in Cheshire, teaching to Advanced-level only. Opportunities to live and work in Australia for two years were provided by The League for the Exchange of Commonwealth Teachers. This allowed them to seek and record some of the diversity of the natural history of that country. It also served as a starting point for visits to New Zealand, Borneo, Papua New Guinea and the Cook Islands. Steve has amassed a very large collection of transparencies and digital images but has also started to use a digital camcorder more recently
