Ron is a long-time birder whose recent introduction to digiscoping has made him a devoted bird photographer as well. His interest in bird photography was piqued by observing that the high quality views that a birder gets through a good spotting scope could be captured as digital images for later study, enjoyment, sharing, and reminiscing over birding trips now past -- all this without adding much gear to the birder's already weighty standard complement of field gear. Ron's companion on his birding excursions is his patient wife of more than four decades and equal birding devotee, Mary Lou.
