Ecuador
Nick Athanas, American by birth, gave up a career in geophysics after the lure of Neotropical birds became too strong to resist. He is one of the founders of Tropical Birding, and leads many of their South American tours.
Nick has done a lot of audio recording during his career, but in the last few years he has developed a passion for bird photography. He has contributed many photos to IBC, and also maintains a photo website at antpitta.com.
