Luis has been a patron of the Foundation for the Conservation of the Bearded Vultures since its creation. During the last 15 years, he has worked on developing the Recuperation Plan for the Bearded Vultures en Aragon, Spain, as well as studying and monitoring some species in the Pyrenees; Western Capercaillie , Rock Ptarmigan , Boreal Owl , White-backed Woodpecker, Spanish Ibex (ssp pyrenaica), etc. He has also participated in the Ornithological Atlas of Aragon and has cooperated with the General Council of Aragon and the National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido. Carrying out various types of fieldwork has given him the opportunity to take numerous photographs, especially of the Pyrenean fauna. Now, with a Panasonic DMC-FZ10 digital camera, he tries to catch images of birds in the area surrounding his work and on his trips, like his recent one to Argentina.
