Luis Javier Falcó Pérez

Luis Javier Falcó Pérez is from Elche, Alicante in Spain. In the 1990s, he became interested in ornithology, getting involved with various NGOs like the Spanish Ornithological Society (Member), the Association of Friends of the Southern Alicante Wetlands (President) and the Marmaronetta Ornithological Society (Vice-President). He has also been a member of the research team tracking a population of Marbled Teal (Marmaronetta angustirostris) in the wetlands of Southern Alicante for the Environmental Council of the Valencian Government. He has also collaborated on the annual ornithological reports for the Valencian Community and on the censuses of wintering and breeding birds done by the Spanish Ornithological Society in the wildlife areas of Southern Alicante. In 2002, he served as a volunteer at the conference for the ringing of the Greater Flamingo (Phoenicopterus ruber) in the Laguna de Fuente de Piedra Nature Reserve, invited by the Biological Station of Doñana. He has collaborated on different projects related to the wetland areas of Southern Alicante as well. After collaborating with photographs related to the world of birds in various publications, he has now begun to discover the world of digital video.
