James Jyh Haw Ting

Taiwan

James was born in Taiwan in 1964. He got a B.S. degree in Environmental Science from Tunghai University in Taiwan and a M.A.Sc degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of British Columbia, Canada. After graduating from UBC, he returned to Taiwan and he has worked for Pou Chen Corporation till now. He and his wife Stella are interested in bird watching and have been amateur bird watchers since 2004. James used digiscoping to take bird photos at first and later found it more interesting using videoscoping to record videos of wild birds. Now he uses a Sony VCL-FS2K 10x spotting scope attached to a Panasonic PV-G200 DV or Canon HV10 HDV for birding in Taiwan. He and his wife also joined the Wild Bird Association of Taiwan in 2007 as members and they usually go bird watching in the central part of this island during weekends.
