Born in Barcelona, Cesc has been interested in ornithology from a young age due to the influence of his brother, Enric. For him this activity has served as the perfect excuse to travel and discover the fauna and flora of various countries (Spain, France, Turkey, Morocco, South Africa and Ecuador) as well as a complement to his other interests (mountaineering, climbing, biking...). For over six years he worked at Lynx Edicions (Handbook of the Birds of the World), serving as the computer technician who programmed the video website IBC (Internet Bird Collection) and who was in charge of the company’s website until October 2005.Cesc has collaborated in different ringing campaigns, censuses and studies of the Spanish avifauna. He is a founding member of the Asociación Naturalista Torrellenca (ANT) and a founding member and the webmaster of the website Reservoir Birds (http://www.terra.es/personal2/fcatde/ReservoirBirds/index.htm).
