Oslo, Norway
Éric was born in the northeast of France in 1965. His interest in birds started in the early 1970’s, when he spent time discovering nature and raptors, in particular. In the mid-1980’s, he found that birdwatching was the ideal hobby for him and he became an active member of the French ornithological society, LPO. He participated in several bird breeding censuses, migration counts and studies of the Sparrowhawk in France (4 years). In the head of a young boy reading nature magazines, a dream of the beautiful Scandinavian wilderness came alive. He realized his dream and has for the last 10 years been living in Oslo. Éric’s bird interest is still growing and he has spent a lot of time studying the Sparrowhawk in Norway during the last 5 years. He is a member of the Norwegian ornithological society, NOF, and has on several occasions been a birdwatcher guide for Norwegian people in the Western Paleartic. Several trips to different countries have made him even more keen on his hobby of birdwatching as well as his studies of feathers and moulting. In June 2005, he started to make some short video clips, to learn more about bird identification and behaviour.IBC Personal statistics:
