I'm technocrat trying to find out smarter ways to get away from the “technology world” for my pursuits in wildlife. Nature is a passion and sheer poetry for my soul. I'm totally fascinated by the wonders of the natural world. I have a keen intereste in Avian Research specially Poppulation Dynamics of Waders, Breeding Biology of seabirds. I have also mastery upon wildlife photography as well as cinematography, my web gallery showcase the treasures of Wilderness. Also an ameature paleontologist, herpetologist and shell collector. Apart from this I had professionally worked as a Consultant for IT, GIS and Environment in many organizations. Currentlly working as Senior Project Officer - GIS in Foundation for Ecological Security, Anand, Gujarat. Being a technocrate I concentrate on using IT for Conservation, You might have come across a world "ICT4D" Information and Communication Technology for Development, But I love "ICT4C" Information and Communication Technologies for Conservation. I love to use Open Source Technologies for such work. I had worked in various sector including Corporate, Non Government which helped me in maturing my thoughts and actions on IT use and applications. Currentlly more focused on GIS and Remote Sensing. I consider all the professional quality/work I posses as a hobby for me, So I can deliver the best... I started photography with my mentor "Yashodhan Bhatia", a famed wildlife photographer from Jamnagar-Gujarat-India (My Home Town). Yashodhan aka Bitoo is an international award winning wildlife photographer and writer. He has been pursuing wildlife photography with the special emphasis on the avi-fauna of Jamnagar region. His work has been published in many national and international publications. He takes pictures for people to see them and sense the wonders nature has to offer. The coast of Jamnagar has been his prime geographic-area of interest in bird photography. He feels that documenting the species that breed and pass through this large coastal expanse during migrations is extremely challenging and satisfying.Although he is more into artistic style of photography where I concentrated on Portrait Style, I prefer to show as much possible, all the variation of plumages, their habitats, behaviours. I love photographying Birds especially Waders/Shorebirds and Seabirds.
