Christophe was born in France in 1978. He is a biologist and has been an amateur ornithologist since he was a child. He graduated with a master degree in Ecology from the Université du Québec à Montréal, Canada, in 2006 and went to Alaska (Middleton Island) in the summer of 2006 for biological research on seabirds (Black-legged kittiwakes, mainly). He is a guide for Oceanwide Expeditions and goes to Spitsbergen, Greenland, Jan Mayen Island, Antarctica and South Atlantic Islands for tourist expedition cruises. Christophe joined the Emirates Center for Wildlife Propagation in 2009, 2010 and 2012 to work on the Houbara Bustard in Morocco and on the McQueen Bustard in Kazakhstan. He is working in old collections of birds and is the scientific referee of the Baillon Collection (2500 specimens) and the Caire-Chabrand Collection (880 specimens). Christophe is also a volunteer abstractor for the Ornithological Worldwide Literature (OWL) database.IBC Personal statistics:
