Christophe was born in France in 1978. He is a biologist and has been an amateur ornithologist since he was a child. He graduated with a master degree in Ecology from the Université du Québec à Montréal, Canada, in 2006 and went to Alaska (Middleton Island) in the summer of 2006 for biological research on seabirds (Black-legged kittiwakes, mainly). He is a guide for Oceanwide Expeditions and goes to Spitsbergen, Greenland, Jan Mayen Island, Antarctica and South Atlantic Islands for tourist expedition cruises. Christophe joined the Emirates Center for Wildlife Propagation in 2009 and 2010 to work on the Houbara Bustard in Morocco and on the McQueen Bustard in Kazakhstan. He is at the moment in charge of the Baillon's Collection where he has to draw up an inventory and identify c.a. 3000 bird specimens. Christophe is also a volunteer abstractor for the Ornithological Worldwide Literature (OWL) database.
