For Chandrahas, ornithology, which started as a mere hobby for him 17 years ago, has now grown into passion. As a life member of the Bombay Natural History Society, he has traveled to more than 30 wildlife sanctuaries and numerous places in India. Though he started shooting video only recently (4 years ago), he has shot videos of the most common and rarest of Indian bird species. He is also working with a group of conservationists, which has led to shooting videos at some very exciting sites and places, and with the group has helped produce 4 educational video films to-date. Chandrahas has also written articles in local newspapers and has appeared on the radio talking about conservation and ornithology. He is actively involved in creating public awareness about nature and conservation.
