Bob Thompson

Bob Thompson was born in Sydney Australia and has been living since 1974 in Hong Kong. He is a cinematographer by profession and since the advent of broadcast video the majority of his work has been on video. Many of his videos have won international acclaim.
In 2000 he sponsored a video titled "Black-faced Spoonbill in Hong Kong" which is on sale in DVD format.
Most of his work is shot on a Sony D600P Betacam camcorder and a Canon XL2 camera; both cameras use an Optex modified Canon 300mm t2.8 lens.
His hobby is bird photography/digiscoping using a Swarovski 80HD scope and Nikon 8400 camera. More recently he is using a Canon 7D with Canon 400mm f5.6 lens for flight shots
