
Anna Motis

Anna, having always been interested in birds and nature, has participated in a multitude of related projects, such as breeding bird atlas, waterfowl censuses, bird ringing schemes and conservation plans for nature reserves. She was an ornithological researcher at the University of Barcelona for many years, and she received a PhD in Biology in 1994 for her thesis examining the competition between the Spotless Starling and the Common Starling in their sympatric area of northeast Spain. Also, she has collaborated on various books and has written numerous scientific articles. As a committed conservationist, she has actively participated in many different Spanish and Catalan associations for the conservation of nature, and for a long time has been collaborating intensely with Lynx Edicions on diverse editorial projects.
