
Andis Liepa
Kemeri National Park, Latvia
Andis has always been interested in birds and nature conservation.
With a degree in Biology from the University of Latvia and many years of experience in practical Ornithology, he has been an active bird ringer and contributor to the first Atlas of the Breeding Birds of Latvia.
He has been a Kemeri National park establishment project manager and is currently a coordinator of EU LIFE-Nature project „Conservation of wetlands in Kemeri National Park”.
Andis is a member of the Latvian Ornithological Society since the first days of the organization.
He has been doing nature photography since the 1960’s, and video since 1992. His photographs have been published in several Latvian publications. His video stories have been used by Latvian and Swedish TV, as well as by Vides Filmu Studija (Wildlife and Environmental Film Productions (http://www.vfs.lv)).
