Adolfo Aragüés

Zaragoza, Aragón, Spain

Born in Zaragoza, Spain in 1933, Adolfo has a PhD in veterinary science and wrote his thesis on Dupont's Lark (Chersophilus duponti). He has been a member of the Spanish Ornithological Society (SEO-BirdLife) since 1958 and served as president of the same from 1984 to 1988. He has founded several Aragonese birding groups and is responsible for the creation of several nature reserves in the Aragon region of Spain, including Laguna de Gallocanta, Laguna de Sariñena, Galachos de la Alfranca, El Burgo and La Lomaza. From 1980 to 1998, he was involved in the production of radio programs and print media about nature.
