French: Dicée à flancs jaunes German: Gelbflanken-Mistelfresser Spanish: Picaflores Flanquigualdo
Other common names: Golden-edged/Golden-flanked/Minahassa/Sulawesi/Celebes Flowerpecker

Taxonomy: Prionochilus aureolimbatus Wallace, 1865, mountains of Minahassa, northern Sulawesi.
Has been thought perhaps to form a superspecies with D. nigrilore, with which it shares some plumage resemblances, but differs markedly in bill shape and tongue structure. Tongue morphology of present species resembles that of D. agile, D. bicolor and D. celebicum. Races rather poorly differentiated. Two subspecies recognized.
