Taxonomy: Cyanolyca mirabilis Nelson, 1903, Omilteme, Guerrero, Mexico.
This species and C. pumilo, C. nanus and C. argentigula form a monophyletic group. Monotypic.

Distribution: Guerrero (Sierra Madre del Sur) and Oaxaca (Sierra de Miahuatlan and Sierra de Yucuyacua), in SW Mexico.
