Taxonomy: Irrisor Bollei Hartlaub, 1858, Ashanti, Ghana.
Relationships uncertain; possibly closest to P. castaneiceps. Three subspecies recognized.

Subspecies and Distribution:

  • bollei (Hartlaub, 1858) - Liberia to S Cameroon and Central African Republic.
  • okuensis Serle, 1949 - W Cameroon (Mt Kilum).
  • jacksoni (Sharpe, 1890) - S Sudan, and E Zaire to Kenya.
