Taxonomy: Turdus brachyurus Vieillot, 1818, Martinique, Lesser Antilles.
Was in the past sometimes placed in genus Cinclocerthia, but the two genera may not be closely related. Race sanctaeluciae considered a separate species by some authors. Two subspecies recognized.
Subspecies and Distribution:
- brachyurus (Vieillot, 1818) - Martinique, in C Lesser Antilles.
- sanctaeluciae (Cory, 1887) - St Lucia, in SC Lesser Antilles.
