Taxonomy: Dendrocitta leucogastra Gould, 1833, "Eastern Asia" = Malabar coast, India.
Forms a species group with D. formosae, D. cinerascens and D. occipitalis. Monotypic.
Distribution: Western Ghats from N Karnataka S to S Kerala and E to W Tamil Nadu (Nilgiris), in SW India.
