Taxonomy: Procellaria parkinsoni westlandica Falla, 1946, Barrytown, Westland, South Island, New Zealand.
Has been considered conspecific with P. parkinsoni and P. aequinoctialis, but present species breeds in winter. Monotypic.
Distribution: NW South I (New Zealand).
