Taxonomy: Paradisea sefilata J. R. Forster, 1781, Arfak Mountains, New Guinea.
Hybridization with Paradigalla carunculata and Lophorina superba recorded. Monotypic.
Distribution: Vogelkop (Tamrau Mts, Arfak Mts) and Wandammen Peninsula (Wondiwoi Mts), in NW New Guinea.
