Taxonomy: Cisticola woosnami Ogilvie-Grant, 1908, Muhokya, south-east Ruwenzori, Uganda.
Forms a superspecies with C. anonymus and C. bulliens. Two subspecies recognized.
Subspecies and Distribution:
- woosnami Ogilvie-Grant, 1908 - E DRCongo, Uganda and SW Kenya and N & C Tanzania.
- lufira Lynes, 1930 - SW Tanzania, SE DRCongo, Zambia and N Malawi.
