Taxonomy: Urocissa caerulea Gould, 1863, Taiwan.
Genus has sometimes been subsumed in Cissa, but three members of latter seem to form a distinctive group. Present species forms a superspecies with U. flavirostris and U. erythroryncha. Monotypic.
Distribution: Taiwan.
