French: Apalis des Taita
Spanish: Apalis de los Taita
Taxonomy: Apalis murina fuscigularis Moreau, 1938, Taita Hills, south-east Kenya.
Until recently, this species, along with A. flavigularis and A. lynesi, was treated as conspecific with A. thoracica; molecular-genetic evidence suggests that such treatment is perhaps more appropriate. Monotypic.
Distribution: Taita Hills, in SE Kenya.
