Other common names: Sunda/Green-billed/Malay Ground-cuckoo (with C. radiatus)

Taxonomy: Carpococcyx viridis Salvadori, 1879, Mount Singgalang, Sumatra.
Usually treated as conspecific with C. radiatus, but clearly smaller and shows distinct plumage differences from latter at all ages. Monotypic.

Distribution: SW Sumatra (foothills of Barisan Range).
