Taxonomy: Garrulus [sic] striatus Vigors, 1831, Naini Tal, Kumaon, Uttar Pradesh, India.
Commonly placed in genus Garrulax. Five subspecies recognized.

  • vibex ( Ripley, 1950) - W & EC Nepal.
  • sikkimensis Ticehurst, 1924 - E Nepal E to EC Bhutan.
