Storm's Stork (Ciconia stormi) - HBW 1, p. 460

French: Cigogne de Storm German: Höckerstorch Spanish: Cigüeña de Storm

Taxonomy: Melanopelargus episcopus stormi W. Blasius, 1896, Pontianak, western Borneo.
Sometimes considered subspecies of C. episcopus, but now generally accepted as separate species (see page 436). Monotypic.

Distribution: Borneo, Sumatra (and Mentawai Is off W coast) and peninsular Malaysia; recently discovered in Thailand, although probably now extinct.
