Taxonomy: Ægialitis sanctæhelenæ Harting, 1873, St Helena.
Often considered conspecific with C. pecuarius (see page 406); probably best considered to form superspecies with C. pecuarius and C. thoracicus. Monotypic.
Distribution: St Helena, S Atlantic Ocean.
