Taxonomy: Cacatua ducorpsii Pucheran, 1853, San Jorge, Solomon Islands.
Alternative genus name Kakatoe now obsolete; official suppression proposed. Species name officially validated against Plyctolophus DuCrops [sic]. Monotypic.
Distribution: Solomon Is, from Bougainville SE to Malaita and Guadalcanal.
