Taxonomy: Cisticola incana P. L. Sclater and Hartlaub, 1881, Socotra.
Affinity uncertain; structurally similar to Cisticola, but has remarkably long bill and a reddish eyering, and behaviourally resembles Camaroptera or a Prinia. Monotypic.
