Taxonomy: Pyctorhis longirostris F. Moore, 1854, Nepal.
Individuals of this species reported from SW Myanmar have not yet been assigned to race. Two subspecies recognized.
Subspecies and Distribution:
- longirostris (F. Moore, 1854) - SC Nepal and adjacent Oudh Tarai (NW Bihar, in India), also NE India from N West Bengal E through R Brahmaputra plains to Assam.
- arcana (Koelz, 1954) - Manipur (NE India).
