Taxonomy: Psittacus (Conurus) Himalayanus Lesson, 1832, valleys of the Himalayas.
Formerly considered conspecific with P. finschii. Monotypic.
Distribution: Himalayas from Afghanistan and W Pakistan E through N India and Nepal to Bhutan and W Assam.
