Taxonomy: Tringa pusilla Linnaeus, 1766, Santo Domingo.
Formerly placed in genus Ereunetes with C. mauri. Monotypic.
Distribution: W & N Alaska and N Canada. Winters on Pacific coast from S Mexico to S Peru, and on Atlantic coast from Yucatán and West Indies to C Argentina.
