Taxonomy: Yuhina Occipitales [sic] Hodgson, 1836, Nepal.
Two subspecies recognized.
Subspecies and Distribution:
- occipitalis Hodgson, 1836 - C & E Nepal and Bhutan E to NE India (Arunachal Pradesh) and adjacent SW China (S & SE Xizang).
- obscurior Rothschild, 1921 - N Myanmar and S China (NW & C Yunnan, SW Sichuan).
