Rufous-breasted Leaftosser (Sclerurus scansor) - HBW 8, p. 353
French: Sclérure à poitrine rousse
Spanish: Tirahojas Ogarití
Other common names: Rufous-breasted Leafscraper
Taxonomy: Oxypyga scansor Ménétries, 1835, Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Often placed next to S. caudacutus in traditional classifications, this based on similarity of throat patterns; other plumage similarities and biogeography, however, suggest that S. albigularis is its sister-species. Two subspecies recognized.

- scansor (Ménétries, 1835) - C, CE & SE Brazil (Mato Grosso, Goiás and Minas Gerais S to Rio Grande do Sul), E Paraguay and NE Argentina (Misiones).
