Forms
a superspecies with Z. griseotinctus, Z. vellalavella,
Z. splendidus, Z. luteirostris and Z. kulambangrae,
possibly with Z. murphyi also a member of same group.
Sometimes considered conspecific with Z. griseotinctus.
Monotypic.
Distribution: Rennell, in SE Solomon Is.
