Taxonomy: Coriphilus rubronotatus Wallace, 1862, Salawati and the north-western extremity of New Guinea.
Two subspecies recognized.
Subspecies and Distribution:
- rubronotata (Wallace, 1862) - Salawati I and N New Guinea from Vogelkop to Adelbert Mts.
- kordoana (A. B. Meyer, 1874) - Biak I.
