Taxonomy: Sigelus senegalensis Hartlaub, 1857, "Senegal"; probably = Gabon.
Forms a superspecies with D. cubla. Monotypic.

Distribution: From W & SE Nigeria very patchily S to NW & NE Angola, discontinuously E to N Central African Republic, NE DRCongo, W Uganda and Rwanda.
