Taxonomy: Phœnicophaus [sic] Javanicus Horsfield, 1821, Java.
Sometimes placed in monospecific genus Zanclostomus. Monotypic.
Distribution: S Myanmar (Tenasserim) and S Thailand through Peninsular Malaysia to Sumatra, Natuna Is, Borneo and Java.
