Taxonomy: Muscisaxicola juninensis Taczanowski, 1884, Junín, Peru.
Has in the past been considered closely related to, and perhaps conspecific with, M. albilora. Monotypic.
Distribution: C & S Peru (Junín S to Tacna and Puno), N Chile (Tarapacá), SW Bolivia (La Paz S to Potosí) and NW Argentina (S to W Tucumán).
