Taxonomy: Myiothera plumbea Wied, 1831, south-eastern Brazil.
Relationships of genus not clearly established; preliminary molecular evidence suggests affiliation with Thamnophilus, and morphological characteristics have connected it with Thamnomanes. Species was formerly treated as conspecific with geographically remote D. leucostictus, and incorrectly transferred to Thamnomanes. Monotypic.
Distribution: SE Brazil from S Bahia S to E Minas Gerais and extreme N Rio de Janeiro.
