Taxonomy: Anthreptes reichenowi Gunning, 1909, Mzimbiti, near Beira, Mozambique.
Sometimes regarded as forming a superspecies with A. anchietae. Two subspecies recognized.
Subspecies and Distribution:
- yokanae van Someren, 1921 - SE Kenya (Sokoke) S in coastal forests to NE & SE Tanzania.
- reichenowi Gunning, 1909 - NC & E Zimbabwe, SW & SE Mozambique and NE South Africa.
